The Waveshare ST-LINK/V2 STM Programmer & Debugger (CN) is an advanced tool designed for in-circuit debugging and programming of STM8 and STM32 microcontroller families. It facilitates communication with microcontrollers on an application board through the single wire interface module (SWIM) and JTAG/serial wire debugging (SWD) interfaces. For STM8 applications, it connects via a USB full-speed interface to STMicroelectronic’s ST Visual Develop or ST Visual Program software. STM32 applications utilize the same interface to connect with integrated development environments such as Atollic, IAR, Keil, or TASKING.

The device is powered through a USB connector and is compatible with USB 2.0 full-speed interfaces. It includes a USB standard A to mini B cable for connectivity. The SWIM interface supports application voltages from 1.65 V to 5 V and offers both low-speed and high-speed modes, with programming speeds of 9.7 Kbytes/s and 12.8 Kbytes/s, respectively. The JTAG interface supports application voltages from 1.65 V to 3.6 V and includes 5 V tolerant inputs. A direct firmware update feature is supported, and a status LED provides visual feedback on communication status with the PC.

The product package includes a 20-pin JTAG/SWD flat ribbon and two SWIM cables for versatile connectivity options. The operating temperature range is from 0 to 50 C, ensuring reliable performance in various environments.
