The Waveshare RM520N-GL Industrial 5G Router, Wireless CPE, Snapdragon X62 Onboard, 5G, Gigabit Ethernet & WiFi (US) is a robust networking solution designed to support a wide range of industrial and IoT applications. It integrates the RM520N-GL 5G Global Band Module, enabling connectivity across 5G, 4G, and 3G networks with support for 3GPP R16 standards. This router is compatible with both NSA and SA modes, making it suitable for regions with 5G Sub-6G signal coverage.
This device offers high-speed networking capabilities through its Gigabit Ethernet port or WiFi connection. It supports RS232/RS485 serial communication with various modes such as TCP/UDP transparent forwarding, Modbus, and MQTT. The industrial-grade design ensures stability and reliability, featuring a durable metal case and multiple protective measures including ESD protection, surge protection, electric fast pulse protection, and power supply phase-reversal protection.
The router is equipped with an embedded hardware watchdog for self-detection and recovery in case of failure. It supports provider VPN access and adheres to financial-level data security standards, offering dual WAN, wired, and wireless connections with mutual backup to minimize communication failures. It supports common VPN protocols like PPTP, L2TP, GRE, and OpenVPN, with multi-layer encryption for secure data transmission.
Customization is facilitated by a standardized and modular base board interface design, featuring an onboard M.2 connector and three mini PCIE connectors. This allows for the connection of one 5G module, one 4G module, and two WiFi modules simultaneously, enhancing its adaptability for various applications.
