The HAT features an onboard M.2 (NGFF) Key B slot, which accommodates SIM82XX and RM5XX series 5G modules, providing robust support for 5G, 4G, and 3G networking. It includes a Type-C port that allows for 5G networking through a USB connection, which can also be used for firmware updates or as an external power supply input. The HAT’s design adheres to the HAT+ standard, featuring an onboard I2C EEPROM for storing HAT+ ID and product information, and a power monitoring chip for real-time measurement of voltage, current, and power.
Additional features include a SIM card slot for a nano SIM card, a reset button, and power and network indicators to facilitate easy debugging and monitoring of the device’s operational status. The package includes a customized 5G-4IN1-PCB antenna, which supports both top and bottom installation for optimal communication performance.
