The SparkFun LED Driver Breakout – TLC5940 (16 Channel) is a versatile 16-channel PWM unit with 12-bit duty cycle control and 6-bit current limit control, featuring a daisy-chainable serial interface. This breakout board facilitates the expansion of PWM pins for microcontroller applications, including LED displays, signboards, display backlighting, and servo control. It includes 0.1″ headers for all PWM channels, voltage, and ground rails, and supports daisy-chaining.
Note: The board includes 2.2k pull-up resistors on each output for servo compatibility, and the Iref pin sets the output current to 17.8mA, adjustable via an additional resistor.
