The Sparkfun Force Sensitive Resistor 0.5in. features a round sensing area that adjusts its resistance based on the applied pressure, decreasing resistance with increased force. It is capable of detecting forces ranging from 100g to 10kg. The sensor is designed with two pins for easy integration into breadboards and includes a peel-and-stick rubber backing for mounting. While it is effective for pressure sensing, it is not highly accurate and may not be suitable for precise measurements.
Note: Do NOT solder directly to the exposed silver traces as the solder joint will not hold and the substrate can easily melt and distort. Use a male or female clincher connector instead.
