The tool holder is constructed from case-hardened steel and finished with a black oxide coating, ensuring durability and resistance to wear.
This tool holder is designed with a 3/8 square shank, compatible with a 3/8 tool post, and incorporates a 5 offset angle to facilitate precise cutting operations. The offset angle allows for efficient turning of an outer diameter up to a shoulder, with the ability to finish the shoulder by retracting the tool while maintaining proper clearance. The cutting tip is positioned .375 from the bottom of the holder, adhering to industry standards.
Carbide inserts, while more costly than high-speed steel tools, offer significant advantages in cutting performance, particularly with exotic metals or abrasive materials.
