This system requires the removal of handwheels to install CNC stepper motor mounts, as it measures handwheel rotation and translates it electronically into table movement. This feature is particularly beneficial for CNC users who wish to verify the leadscrew movement against the CNC input, ensuring accurate axis movement.
Digital readouts have become a staple in modern machining, offering significant convenience by allowing machinists to reset the X-, Y-, and Z-axes to zero with a simple button press. This eliminates the need for counting handwheel revolutions or performing complex calculations, as the digital readout provides precise table position readings to 3-1/2 decimal places or .01mm in metric. The kit includes handwheels with encoders for each axis, a digital readout box with an LCD display, an RPM sensor, and all necessary mounting hardware, ensuring a comprehensive setup without the need for additional modifications to the mill.
