The Sherline Master Jaws & Top Jaws 3/16″ for Laser Pin Jaw Chuck w/ Pins are specifically engineered for laser marking applications, allowing for the engraving of parts with diameters ranging from 6 inches (153mm) to as small as 0.66 inches (16.7mm). These jaws are compatible with 3-jaw chucks manufactured after 2014, ensuring a seamless integration for users with newer equipment.
The top jaws feature four pin hole locations designed to accommodate 3/16-inch hard-steel dowel pins, which are secured to the master jaws using a socket head cap screw. The pins are available in lengths of 1 inch and 1.5 inches, providing flexibility in gripping different sized parts. These jaws are intended for applications requiring only finger-tight closing pressure, making them ideal for holding round parts securely while the exterior is laser marked.
These jaws are versatile and can be used with any of Sherline’s 3-Jaw Chucks, offering a reliable solution for precision laser marking tasks. The design is not suitable for machining parts or any application that demands more than a gentle grip.
Note: Chucks manufactured prior to 2014 require custom grinding of each jaw to ensure proper fitment.
