This model is equipped with a metric leadscrew, ensuring precise adjustments with handwheels graduated in 0.01 mm increments. The leadscrews are crafted from precision-rolled steel, offering adjustable backlash to maintain accuracy over time.
The slide incorporates dovetailed tables and saddles with adjustable gibs, which are essential for eliminating play and ensuring smooth operation. It is CNC-ready, meaning it requires the installation of stepper motors, specifically designed to accommodate NEMA 23 stepper motors, for automated functionality. The mounting system is versatile, allowing for secure attachment either from the bottom using four 1/4-20 holes or from the top with the provided angle clamps.
This machine slide is capable of supporting a weight capacity of approximately 10 lbs, contingent on the distribution and location of the weight on the table. It is engineered to withstand a duty cycle of 2080 hours under heavy, continuous use, although regular lubrication with light oil is recommended to prolong the lifespan of the dovetail and screw components.
Note: Avoid using WD-40 as a lubricant, as it can damage the anodized coating.
