These handwheels allow users to reset to a zero reading at any time, facilitating precise adjustments and reducing the likelihood of mathematical errors. This feature, typically found on larger, more expensive machines, enhances the precision of this compact lathe.
This tabletop lathe is capable of turning parts up to 3.5 inches in diameter over the bed and up to 1.88 inches over the carriage without the use of riser blocks. With an optional riser block, it can handle parts up to 6 inches in diameter. The lathe provides 8 inches of space between centers, making it suitable for crafting small, precision components. Its electronic speed control offers a continuously variable speed range from 70 to 2,800 RPM, eliminating the need for belt changes. Additionally, a secondary pulley position is available to provide extra torque at lower RPMs.
