The ServoCity Linear Actuator Kit (1120 Series, 201mm Stroke, 8mm Lead) is a comprehensive assembly designed to construct a linear actuator using goBILDAcomponents. The framework is formed by the 1120 Series U-Channel, while the extension is facilitated by the 1109 Series goRAIL.
The goRAIL is supported by acetal plates, which can be adjusted along the channel to modify the extension length and lateral support. A 60 tooth gear on the motor drives another 60-tooth gear attached to the lead screw, creating a compact 1:1 ratio. It is recommended to use the goBILDA5203 Series Yellow Jacket Planetary Gear Motor with a 5.2:1 ratio. This combination with the 2mm pitch lead screw generates over 22kg of thrust, achieving a no-load speed of 153mm/sec, and can traverse the full 200mm in just 1.31 seconds. Note: Running the actuator beyond its endpoints can cause damage; it is essential to use a motor with an encoder to program endpoints for proper operation.
