The Pololu QTR-3RC Reflectance Sensor Array is a compact module designed for line-following robots, featuring three IR LED/phototransistor pairs on a small board. The sensors are spaced at 0.375 inches, making them ideal for courses using black electrical tape. The module operates by charging the output node and measuring the decay time of the voltage, which indicates reflectance levels. This method enhances sensitivity and allows parallel reading with most microcontrollers.
