The Pololu Mini MOSFET Slide Switch w/ Reverse Voltage Protection, LV is a compact module designed to replace bulky power switches. It utilizes a small slide switch to control a high-side power MOSFET, capable of delivering continuous currents up to 6 A within a voltage range of 2 V to 20 V. The device features reverse-voltage protection and allows for control via an external switch or a microcontroller’s digital output.
This switch is particularly suitable for applications with limited space or lower power requirements, operating effectively with voltages as low as 1.8 V, making it compatible with single lithium cell batteries. The switch state is determined by the physical control switch or a signal to the “ON” pin, independent of the power applied to the board.
Note: Do not use this switch as an emergency cutoff or safety disconnect where failure to cut power could lead to injury or property damage.
