The EdgeBox-ESP-100-Industrial Edge Controller, WiFi, BLE, 4g LTE, DIO, AIO, Ethernet, CAN, RS485 is a multifaceted, lightweight controller equipped with a variety of wireless capabilities and multiple Fieldbus interfaces. This ESP32-based controller is adept at functioning autonomously in field automation applications or serving as an industrial gateway to enhance the networking and cloud communication abilities of existing PLC systems. It is particularly suited for lightweight automation solutions.
The device excels in remote monitoring and control applications, making it ideal for PID control loops, logic sequencing control, and gateway operations with the flexibility to expand wireless and field sensor capabilities. It features isolated CAN and RS485 Fieldbus connections, along with a comprehensive range of IO resources to accommodate a wide array of facility and sensor inputs, including both digital and analog signals.
Incorporating on-chip Wi-Fi and BLE functionalities, the controller also boasts a 4G LTE module for cellular connectivity, further cementing its role as an industrial gateway. While the unit supports LoRaWANcommunication, modifications involving soldering are necessary to replace the 4G module with a LoRaWAN-compatibleone.
Please note that to enable LoRaWANcommunication, soldering is required to replace the existing 4G module.
