The BlueRobotics 400mm Watertight Aluminum Enclosure Tube (4-Inch) is crafted from anodized 6061-T6 aluminum. This series represents a significant improvement over the initial generation of watertight enclosure tubes. The aluminum tube boasts precision-machined O-ring interfaces at both ends, ensuring a consistent and reliable fit with the sealing flange. The smooth surface finish guarantees proper sealing between the O-ring flange and the tube.
Additionally, the ends of the tube are machined to include a gland for a locking cord and a slot for cord insertion. This slot also serves as an anti-rotation feature, aligning with a feature on the flange. This design maintains the flange in a consistent orientation with the tube and prevents potential damage to the contents of the enclosure due to inadvertent rotation of the flange.
