The AndyMark EVO Shifter Short Keyed Shaft, StageA 2 – 22.67:1 Ratio, StageB 2 – 06.00:1 Ratio represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox is designed with an improved 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions between gears. It accommodates motor input from two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.
Significant enhancements have been incorporated into this model, including a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides added strength and lubricity. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, ensuring durability. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, achieving a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users have the freedom to select independent high and low ratios, and the gearbox supports various encoder options, enhancing its adaptability.
The EVO Shifter employs a pneumatic shift method, powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, which allows for gear shifting even during acceleration or deceleration. The gearbox is designed with aggressive weight reduction features and can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame. The two-stage version weighs between 2.9 to 3.2 pounds, while the three-stage version weighs 3.5 pounds.
