The AndyMark EVO Shifter Short Keyed Shaft, StageA 2 – 16.37:1 Ratio, StageB 2 – 07.56:1 Ratio represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates a refined 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for seamless transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.
The EVO Shifter features several enhancements over previous models, including a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides added lubricity for smoother shifting. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, ensuring durability. The input stage employs 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high first stage reduction. Users can independently select high and low ratios, and the gearbox supports various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T.
The gearbox is designed with aggressive weight reduction features, and its cluster gears are engineered for easy assembly and disassembly. It can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame, providing versatility in application. The pneumatic shift method utilizes a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, allowing shifts to occur even during acceleration or deceleration.
