The AndyMark EVO Shifter Short Hex Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 15.11:1 Ratio 2:1, StageB 3 Stage – 21.72:1 Ratio 2:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.
Significant improvements have been made over previous models, including the use of AMPCO 18 Bronze for the dog gear, which provides added lubricity and strength. The robust shift block assembly now includes a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, enhancing durability. The input stage features 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users have the ability to independently select high and low ratios, and the gearbox supports multiple encoder options, including the US Digital E4T.
The EVO Shifter employs a pneumatic shift method, utilizing a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder that allows shifting while a robot is in motion. The gearbox is designed with aggressive weight reduction features and can be mounted to various chassis configurations. The optional third stage provides additional ratio choices, further enhancing its adaptability. The gearbox requires proper greasing for optimal operation, with a recommended break-in period to ensure smooth performance. The encoder ratio for two-stage versions is 3:1, providing precise control and feedback.
Note: Ensure proper installation and maintenance procedures are followed to guarantee safe and efficient operation.
