The AndyMark EVO Shifter Short Hex Shaft, StageA 3 – 12.00:1 Ratio 2:1, StageB 3 – 27.72:1 Ratio 2:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox is designed with an improved 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions between speeds. It accommodates motor input from two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.
The design incorporates several enhancements over previous models, including a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides added strength and lubricity. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, ensuring durability. The input stage features 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high 85:15 first stage reduction. Users have the ability to independently select high and low ratios, enhancing customization.
The EVO Shifter employs a pneumatic shift method, utilizing a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder for reliable performance even under varying conditions. The gearbox is designed with aggressive weight reduction features, and the cluster gears are engineered for easy assembly and disassembly. It is compatible with various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T, and can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame.
