The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 32.74:1 Ratio 2:1, StageB 3 Stage – 45.33:1 Ratio 2:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in output shaft selection.
The EVO Shifter features several improvements over previous models, including a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides added lubricity and strength. The gearbox allows for independent selection of high and low ratios, enabling users to customize their gear settings according to specific needs. Additionally, the gearbox includes aggressive weight reduction features and can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame.
The shifting mechanism utilizes a pneumatic method powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, ensuring reliable performance even during acceleration or deceleration. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed, allowing for user customization. The inclusion of a US Digital encoder and the option for additional encoder choices further enhance its versatility.
Note: Proper greasing and a break-in period are recommended for optimal performance and longevity of the gearbox.
