The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 32.74:1 Ratio 2:1, StageB 3 Stage – 15.11:1 Ratio 2:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for seamless transitions between speeds. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not pre-installed.
The design improvements include a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides increased strength and lubricity compared to previous materials. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, enhancing durability. The input stage features 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users have the autonomy to select their preferred high and low ratios, with the option to swap between them as needed.
The gearbox also supports various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T and the CTRE SRX mag encoder. Weight reduction features have been meticulously integrated into the gears and plates, and the cluster gears are designed for straightforward assembly. An optional third stage provides additional ratio choices, and the gearbox can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame.
The EVO Shifter employs a pneumatic shift method, utilizing a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder for reliable performance during acceleration, pushing, or deceleration. The gearbox requires periodic greasing for optimal operation, with a recommended break-in period to ensure smooth functionality. The encoder ratio for two-stage versions is 3:1, facilitating precise control and programming.
Note: Ensure proper installation of the pinion gear using the recommended procedures and materials to maintain safety and performance standards.
