The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 25.90:1 Ratio 1.14:1, StageB 3 Stage – 08.63:1 Ratio 1.14:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox is designed with an improved 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for seamless transitions between speeds. It accommodates motor inputs from two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed, even if included in the order.
The EVO Shifter incorporates several enhancements over previous models, including a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides added lubricity for smoother shifting. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, contributing to its durability. The input stage employs 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, achieving a high 85:15 first stage reduction. Users have the liberty to independently select high and low ratios, and the gearbox supports various encoder options, enhancing its adaptability.
The gearbox features aggressive weight reduction techniques and is designed for easy assembly and disassembly without concern for gear orientation. An optional third stage offers an additional C ratio choice, further expanding its versatility. The pneumatic shift method, powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, ensures reliable performance even under varying conditions.
Note: Proper greasing is essential for optimal operation and longevity of the gearbox. It is recommended to run the gearbox for 30 minutes without grease initially to allow the gear teeth to wear in, followed by periodic application of grease to the spur gears.
