The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 12.41:1 Ratio 1.14:1, StageB 3 Stage – 06.86:1 Ratio 1.14:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates a refined 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for seamless transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in output shaft selection. The gearbox is delivered assembled, though motors are not pre-installed.
The EVO Shifter introduces several enhancements over previous models, including a dog gear with four dogs on each face for increased durability. The use of AMPCO 18 Bronze for the dog gear material provides added lubricity, ensuring smooth operation. A robust shift block assembly with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing further enhances the gearbox’s strength. The input stage employs 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users can independently select high and low ratios and swap them as needed, providing greater control over performance.
The gearbox features aggressive weight reduction techniques and is designed for easy assembly, with cluster gears that have identical features on both sides. An optional third stage offers an additional C ratio choice. The pneumatic shift method, powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, allows for shifting even during acceleration or deceleration. The gearbox is compatible with various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T, and is designed to be mounted on an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame.
Note: Ensure proper greasing and break-in procedures are followed for optimal performance and longevity.
