The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 09.54:1 Ratio 2:1, StageB 3 Stage – 45.33:1 Ratio 2:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.
The EVO Shifter features several improvements over previous models, including a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides added lubricity and strength. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, enhancing durability. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, achieving a high 85:15 first stage reduction. Users can independently select high and low ratios, and the gearbox supports various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T.
Aggressive weight reduction features have been incorporated into the design, and the cluster gears are engineered for easy assembly. An optional third stage offers additional ratio choices, and the gearbox can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame. The pneumatic shift method, powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, allows for seamless shifting even during acceleration or deceleration.
