The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 09.54:1 Ratio 2:1, StageB 3 Stage – 21.72:1 Ratio 2:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for seamless transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in output shaft selection.
The gearbox features several improvements over previous models, including a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides added lubricity for smoother shifting. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, enhancing durability. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, achieving a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users have the autonomy to select their preferred high and low ratios, with the option to swap ratios as needed.
The EVO Shifter employs a pneumatic shift method, powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, enabling gear shifts even during acceleration or deceleration. The gearbox is designed with aggressive weight reduction features and includes various encoder options, such as the US Digital E4T. It is compatible with an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame, using existing mounting plate holes.
