The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Hex Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 08.63:1 Ratio 1.14:1, StageB 3 Stage – 18.71:1 Ratio 1.14:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox is designed with an improved 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for seamless transitions between speeds. It accommodates two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in output shaft selection. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.
The EVO Shifter incorporates several enhancements over previous models, including a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides added strength and lubricity. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, achieving a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users can independently select high and low ratios and swap them as needed, with additional encoder options available.
The gearbox features aggressive weight reduction and is designed for easy assembly, with cluster gears that have identical features on both sides. An optional third stage offers an additional C ratio choice. The pneumatic shift method employs a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, allowing shifts during acceleration, pushing, or deceleration. The gearbox is compatible with an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame.
Note: Ensure proper greasing for optimal operation and longevity, and follow recommended procedures for pinion installation if using a NEO motor.
