The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Hex Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 08.63:1 Ratio 1.14:1, StageB 3 Stage – 05.45:1 Ratio 1.14:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox is designed with an improved 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for seamless transitions between speeds. It accommodates motor inputs from two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.
The EVO Shifter incorporates several enhancements over previous models, including a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides added lubricity for smoother shifting. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, ensuring durability. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, achieving a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users have the freedom to select independent high and low ratios, and the gearbox supports additional encoder options.
The gearbox features aggressive weight reduction techniques and is designed for easy assembly and disassembly without concern for gear orientation. It can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame using existing mounting plate holes. The pneumatic shift method employs a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, allowing shifts to occur even during acceleration or deceleration.
Note: Ensure proper greasing and break-in procedures are followed for optimal performance and longevity of the gearbox.
