The AndyMark EVO Shifter AM14U Family Hex Shaft, StageA 2 Stage – 16.37:1 Ratio, StageB 2 Stage – 22.67:1 Ratio represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in output shaft selection. The gearbox is delivered assembled, though motors are not pre-installed.
This model features several improvements over previous iterations, including a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides added strength and lubricity. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high 85:15 first stage reduction. Users can independently select high and low ratios and swap them as needed, with additional encoder options available.
The gearbox is designed with aggressive weight reduction features and can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame. It employs a pneumatic shift method powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, allowing for gear shifts even during acceleration or deceleration. The gearbox’s design ensures ease of assembly and maintenance, with cluster gears featuring identical characteristics on both sides.
Note: Ensure proper greasing and break-in procedures are followed for optimal performance and longevity.
