The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Hex Shaft, StageA 2 Stage – 16.37:1 Ratio, StageB 2 Stage – 07.56:1 Ratio represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in output shaft selection. The gearbox is delivered assembled, though motors are not pre-installed.
Notable improvements in this model include a robust design with a 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides added lubricity and strength. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and a threaded steel housing. The input stage features 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users can independently select high and low ratios and swap them as needed, enhancing customization.
The gearbox is equipped with a pneumatic shift method, utilizing a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder for seamless operation during acceleration, pushing, or deceleration. The design includes aggressive weight reduction features and is compatible with various encoder options, such as the US Digital E4T. It can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame, providing versatility in application.
