The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Hex Shaft, StageA 2 Stage – 07.56:1 Ratio, StageB 2 Stage – 10.86:1 Ratio represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox is designed with an improved 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for smooth and efficient operation. It accommodates motor input from two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance.
The gearbox features a robust design with a 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and AMPCO 18 Bronze dog gear material, which enhances strength and lubricity. The innovative shift block assembly includes a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, contributing to its durability. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, achieving a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users have the freedom to independently select high and low ratios and can swap between them as needed.
The EVO Shifter is equipped with a pneumatic shift method, utilizing a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder that allows shifting even during acceleration or deceleration. The gearbox is designed for easy assembly and disassembly, with cluster gears featuring identical characteristics on both sides. It can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame, providing versatility in application.
Additional features include aggressive weight reduction, various encoder options, and the ability to add an optional third stage for further ratio choices. The gearbox is shipped assembled, excluding motors, and requires proper greasing for optimal performance. The included US Digital encoder and pneumatic cylinder enhance its functionality, making it a comprehensive solution for advanced robotic applications.
