The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Hex Shaft, StageA 2 Stage – 04.77:1 Ratio, StageB 2 Stage – 10.86:1 Ratio represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for seamless transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.
Significant improvements have been made over previous models, including the use of AMPCO 18 Bronze for the dog gear, which provides added lubricity and strength. The robust design features a 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a super-strong shift block assembly with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, achieving a high 85:15 first stage reduction. Users can independently select high and low ratios and swap them as needed, providing versatility in operation.
The gearbox is equipped with aggressive weight reduction features and is designed for easy assembly and disassembly, with cluster gears that have identical features on both sides. It can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame. The pneumatic shift method, powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, allows for shifting while a robot is in motion. The gearbox also offers various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T and the CTRE SRX mag encoder.
