The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Hex Shaft, StageA 2 Stage – 04.77:1 Ratio, StageB 2 Stage – 07.56:1 Ratio represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox is designed with an improved 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for seamless transitions between gears. It accommodates motor inputs from two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.
Significant enhancements have been incorporated into the EVO Shifter, including a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides added lubricity and strength. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high 85:15 first stage reduction. Users can independently select high and low ratios, and the gearbox supports various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T.
The EVO Shifter employs a pneumatic shift method, powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, enabling gear shifts even during acceleration or deceleration. The gearbox is designed for easy assembly and disassembly, with cluster gears featuring identical characteristics on both sides. It can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame. Aggressive weight reduction features have been integrated into the gears and plates, ensuring a lightweight yet durable construction.
Note: Proper greasing and a break-in period are recommended for optimal performance and longevity of the gearbox. Ensure to follow the specified procedures for installing pinion gears, especially when using NEO motors, to maintain safety and functionality.
