The Waveshare SX1303 868m LoRaWAN Gateway HAT for Raspberry Pi, Standard Mini-PCIe Socket (W/ HAT) is a sophisticated module designed for long-range wireless communication. It integrates the advanced SX1303 chip, known for its exceptional performance in terms of low power consumption, high receiving sensitivity, and the ability to handle multiple concurrent communications. This gateway module is equipped with a Semtech SX1303 normal band chip and an SX1250 radio RF front-end chip, which together provide a powerful combination of +26dBm emit power and -141dBm receiving sensitivity.
The module is designed to be easily integrated into various embedded systems through its 52-pin Mini-PCIe socket. It also features a standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO extension header, making it compatible with Raspberry Pi series boards. The inclusion of the L76K module with GPS/BD support ensures accurate clock and location information, enhancing the gateway’s functionality.
This LoRaWAN Gateway HAT supports Fine Timestamp and network positioning based on the Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA), which is crucial for applications requiring precise timing and location data. The module’s design also includes onboard PA and LNA, which contribute to its high sensitivity and long-range capabilities.
The gateway’s efficient design minimizes heat dissipation requirements, allowing for a more compact form factor and reduced material costs. It is equipped with four LED indicators to display the module’s operating status, providing users with immediate visual feedback. The communication bus supports both SPI and I2C, ensuring versatile connectivity options.
Note: Ensure proper handling and installation to avoid damage to the device or connected components.
