The Waveshare Binocular Stereo Vision Expansion Board for Raspberry Pi Compute Module CM3 Lite / CM3+ Lite, Small Size is a compact and versatile expansion board designed specifically for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module CM3 Lite and CM3+ Lite. This board is equipped with multiple expansion ports, including three camera ports, a DSI port, and a USB connector, allowing for a wide range of applications in stereo vision projects. The board supports various peripheral interfaces through an FPC connector, enhancing its adaptability for different project requirements.
This expansion board facilitates the development of advanced Raspberry Pi projects such as binocular parallax ranging, facial identification, living object detection, and VR video recording. It includes an IMU fill light board, which can be connected via the 10PIN GPIO/I2C extended connector, providing additional functionality for complex projects. The board also integrates a DS1307 RTC chip with a CR1220 battery holder, ensuring accurate timekeeping for applications that require it.
The board’s design includes an acrylic mounting plate and a tripod adapter, making it easy to integrate with standard tripods for stable and flexible project setups. It supports both single and dual camera connections, with the CAM0 port enabled by default and CAM1/CAM3 ports selectable via GPIO.
