The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 32.74:1 Ratio 2:1, StageB 3 Stage – 09.54:1 Ratio 2:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions between speeds. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.
Significant improvements have been made over previous models, including a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides added strength and lubricity. The gearbox features a super-strong shift block assembly with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high 85:15 first stage reduction. Users can independently select high and low ratios, and the gearbox supports various encoder options, enhancing its adaptability.
The EVO Shifter employs a pneumatic shift method, utilizing a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder for reliable performance during acceleration, pushing, or deceleration. The gearbox is designed with aggressive weight reduction features and allows for easy assembly and disassembly due to the uniform features of the cluster gears. An optional third stage provides additional ratio choices, and the gearbox can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame.
