The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 25.90:1 Ratio 1.14:1, StageB 3 Stage – 18.71:1 Ratio 1.14:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for seamless transitions between speeds. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in output shaft selection. The gearbox is delivered assembled, though motors are not pre-installed.
The EVO Shifter features several improvements over previous models, including a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides added strength and lubricity. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing. The input stage employs 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high 85:15 first stage reduction. Users can independently select high and low ratios, with the option to swap between them as needed. The gearbox also supports various encoder options, enhancing its adaptability.
The design incorporates aggressive weight reduction features, and the cluster gears are engineered for straightforward assembly. An optional third stage offers an additional C ratio choice. The gearbox can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame using existing mounting plate holes. The EVO Shifter employs a pneumatic shift method, utilizing a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder for reliable performance during acceleration, pushing, or deceleration.
