The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 45.33:1 Ratio 2:1, StageB 3 Stage – 32.74:1 Ratio 2:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox is designed with an improved 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for seamless transitions between speeds. It accommodates motor inputs from two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance.
The gearbox features a robust design with a 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and AMPCO 18 Bronze dog gear material, which enhances strength and provides smooth shifting due to its lubricity. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, ensuring durability. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, achieving a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users have the autonomy to select their high and low ratios independently, with the option to swap ratios as needed.
The EVO Shifter is equipped with a pneumatic shift method, utilizing a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder that allows shifting even during acceleration or deceleration. This feature ensures that the robot can continue operating in Ratio A if air pressure is lost. The gearbox is designed for easy assembly and disassembly, with cluster gears featuring identical characteristics on both sides, eliminating concerns about gear orientation.
The gearbox is compatible with various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T and the CTRE SRX mag encoder. It also incorporates aggressive weight reduction features, making it a lightweight yet powerful component for robotic applications. The optional third stage provides an additional C ratio choice, further enhancing its versatility. The gearbox can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame using existing mounting plate holes.
