The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 45.33:1 Ratio 2:1, StageB 3 Stage – 21.72:1 Ratio 2:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is designed with robust materials, including AMPCO 18 Bronze for the dog gear, which provides added lubricity and strength. The inclusion of a super-strong shift block assembly with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing further enhances its durability.
The gearbox features a high 85:15 first stage reduction, utilizing 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear. Users have the ability to independently select high and low ratios, providing customization options not confined to set spreads. The gearbox also supports various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T, and offers aggressive weight reduction features for optimized performance. The cluster gears are designed for easy assembly, with identical features on both sides, ensuring correct orientation during disassembly and reassembly.
The EVO Shifter employs a pneumatic shift method, powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, allowing for seamless shifting even during acceleration or deceleration. This feature ensures continued operation in the event of air pressure loss. The gearbox is compatible with an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame, providing versatile mounting options.
