The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 21.72:1 Ratio 2:1, StageB 3 Stage – 09.54:1 Ratio 2:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for seamless transitions between speeds. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.
Notable improvements include a robust design featuring a 4-dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides increased strength and smooth shifting due to its lubricity. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, enhancing durability. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, achieving a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users have the autonomy to select their preferred high and low ratios, with the option to swap between them as needed.
The gearbox also supports various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T and the CTRE SRX mag encoder. Weight reduction features have been meticulously integrated into the gears and plates, facilitating easy assembly and disassembly without concern for gear orientation. An optional third stage offers an additional C ratio choice, further expanding its versatility. The EVO Shifter employs a pneumatic shift method, powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, ensuring reliable operation even during acceleration or deceleration.
