The AndyMark EVO Shifter Short Hex Shaft, StageA 3 – 12.41:1 Ratio 1.14:1, StageB 3 – 25.90:1 Ratio 1.14:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox is designed to accommodate two CIM or NEO motors, offering flexibility in motor input. The gearbox can be configured with either two or three interior stages, providing a range of output shaft options. It is delivered assembled, though motors are not pre-installed.
This model incorporates several enhancements over previous iterations, including a 4-tooth dog shifting method that increases strength and durability. The dog gear is crafted from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which offers enhanced lubricity for smoother shifting. A robust shift block assembly with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing is also featured. The gearbox allows users to independently select high and low ratios, facilitating customization according to specific needs. Additionally, it supports various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T and the CTRE SRX mag encoder.
The EVO Shifter employs a pneumatic shift method, utilizing a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder for shifting. This mechanism allows for seamless shifting even during acceleration or deceleration. The gearbox is designed for easy assembly and disassembly, with features that ensure correct gear orientation. It can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame using existing mounting plate holes.
