The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 12.41:1 Ratio 1.14:1, StageB 3 Stage – 18.71:1 Ratio 1.14:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates a refined 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for seamless transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in output shaft selection. The gearbox is delivered assembled, though motors are not pre-installed.
The EVO Shifter introduces several enhancements over previous models, including a dog gear with four dogs on each face for increased durability and a robust shoulder screw for added strength. The dog gear is crafted from AMPCO 18 Bronze, providing similar properties to stainless steel with enhanced lubricity for smoother shifting. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, ensuring reliability under demanding conditions.
The gearbox features a high 85:15 first stage reduction, utilizing 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear. Users can independently select high and low ratios, with the option to swap between them as needed. The design includes aggressive weight reduction features and allows for easy assembly and disassembly without concern for gear orientation. An optional third stage offers an additional C ratio choice, enhancing customization.
The EVO Shifter employs a pneumatic shift method, powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, enabling shifts during acceleration, pushing, or deceleration. The gearbox is designed to maintain operation in Ratio A if air pressure is lost, ensuring continued functionality. The product also supports various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T, and features a 3:1 encoder ratio on two-stage versions.
Note: Ensure proper greasing with Red Tacky Grease for optimal operation and longevity, and follow recommended procedures for pinion installation to maintain safety and performance standards.
