The AndyMark EVO Shifter Short Hex Shaft, StageA 3 – 12.00:1 Ratio 2:1, StageB 3 – 15.11:1 Ratio 2:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.
The design improvements include a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides added lubricity and strength. The gearbox features a super-strong shift block assembly with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high first stage reduction. Users have the ability to independently select high and low ratios, enhancing customization options. The gearbox also supports various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T, which is included.
The EVO Shifter employs a pneumatic shift method, powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, allowing for gear shifts even during acceleration or deceleration. The gearbox is designed with aggressive weight reduction features, ensuring a lightweight yet durable construction. It can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame using existing mounting plate holes.
