The AndyMark EVO Shifter Short Hex Shaft, StageA 3 – 06.86:1 Ratio 1.14:1, StageB 3 – 25.90:1 Ratio 1.14:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for seamless transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not included.
This model features several improvements over previous iterations, including a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which provides added lubricity for smoother shifting. The shift block assembly is reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, enhancing durability. The input stage employs 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high 85:15 first stage reduction. Users can independently select high and low ratios, and the gearbox supports various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T.
The EVO Shifter utilizes a pneumatic shift method powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, enabling gear shifts even during acceleration or deceleration. The gearbox is designed with aggressive weight reduction features and allows for easy assembly and disassembly due to the uniform features on both sides of the cluster gears. It can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame using existing mounting plate holes.
Note: Ensure proper greasing for optimal operation and longevity, and follow recommended procedures for pinion installation if using a NEO motor.
