The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Hex Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 08.63:1 Ratio 1.14:1, StageB 3 Stage – 12.41:1 Ratio 1.14:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates an enhanced 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions between gears. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in output shaft selection. The gearbox is delivered assembled, though motors are not pre-installed.
Several improvements distinguish this model from previous iterations. The dog gear now features four dogs on each face, enhancing strength and durability. The use of AMPCO 18 Bronze for the dog gear material provides added lubricity, facilitating smoother shifts. A robust shift block assembly with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing is included, further enhancing the gearbox’s reliability. The input stage employs 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, achieving a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users can independently select high and low ratios, allowing for customizable performance.
The gearbox also features aggressive weight reduction measures and is designed for easy assembly and disassembly, with cluster gears that have identical features on both sides. An optional third stage offers an additional C ratio choice. The EVO Shifter utilizes a pneumatic shift method, powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, enabling shifts even during acceleration or deceleration. The gearbox’s weight ranges from 2.9 to 3.5 pounds, depending on the configuration.
Note: Ensure proper greasing and break-in procedures are followed for optimal performance and longevity of the gearbox.
