The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Hex Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 05.45:1 Ratio 1.14:1, StageB 3 Stage – 08.63:1 Ratio 1.14:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox incorporates a refined 4-tooth dog shifting mechanism, allowing for seamless transitions between speeds. It is compatible with two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in output shaft selection.
The design improvements include a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which enhances strength and provides smooth shifting due to its lubricity. The gearbox features a super-strong shift block assembly with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, ensuring durability and reliability. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, achieving a high first stage reduction of 85:15.
Users have the autonomy to select independent high and low ratios, with the option to swap ratios as needed. The gearbox supports various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T and the CTRE SRX mag encoder. Weight reduction features have been meticulously integrated into the gears and plates, facilitating easy assembly and disassembly without concern for gear orientation.
The EVO Shifter employs a pneumatic shift method, powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, allowing for shifting during acceleration, pushing, or deceleration. It can be mounted to an AM14U family chassis or a 2″x1″ box tube frame, providing versatility in application. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.
Note: Ensure proper greasing with Red Tacky Grease for optimal operation and longevity, and follow the recommended break-in period for smooth gearbox performance.
