The AndyMark EVO Shifter Short Keyed Shaft, StageA 2 – 06.00:1 Ratio, StageB 2 – 07.56:1 Ratio represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes, building upon the legacy of previous models such as the AM Shifter, Super Shifter, and Sonic Shifter. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox is designed for use with two CIM or NEO motors and offers flexibility with its configurable two or three interior stages. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed.
Enhancements in this model include a robust 4-tooth dog shifting method, with the dog gear crafted from AMPCO 18 Bronze for increased strength and lubricity. The shift block assembly has been reinforced with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, ensuring durability. The input stage features 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, facilitating a high first stage reduction of 85:15. Users can independently select high and low ratios, allowing for customizable performance.
The gearbox incorporates aggressive weight reduction features and is designed for easy assembly, with cluster gears that have identical features on both sides. An optional third stage provides additional ratio choices, enhancing versatility. The pneumatic shift method, powered by a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, allows for seamless shifting even during acceleration or deceleration.
The EVO Shifter is compatible with various encoder options, including the US Digital E4T, and features a 3:1 encoder ratio on two-stage versions. The gearbox requires Red Tacky Grease for optimal operation and longevity, with specific instructions for initial use and maintenance. The design includes shielded, flanged ball bearings and high-quality steel gears, ensuring reliable performance in demanding applications.
