The AndyMark EVO Shifter am14u Family Hex Shaft, StageA 3 Stage – 05.45:1 Ratio 1.14:1, StageB 3 Stage – 18.71:1 Ratio 1.14:1 represents a significant advancement in shifting transmission gearboxes. This two-speed, shift-on-the-fly gearbox is designed with an improved 4-tooth dog shifting method, allowing for seamless transitions between speeds. It accommodates motor inputs from two CIM or NEO motors and can be configured with either two or three interior stages, offering flexibility in performance. The gearbox is shipped assembled, though motors are not installed, even if included in the order.
Significant improvements have been made over previous models, including a robust 1/8″ diameter shoulder screw and a dog gear made from AMPCO 18 Bronze, which enhances strength and provides smooth shifting due to its lubricity. The gearbox features a super-strong shift block assembly with a larger bearing and threaded steel housing, ensuring durability and reliability. The input stage utilizes 32 DP gears and a 15-tooth pinion gear, achieving a high 85:15 first stage reduction. Users have the flexibility to independently select high and low ratios, and the gearbox supports more encoder options, including the US Digital E4T.
The EVO Shifter is designed with aggressive weight reduction features, and its cluster gears are engineered for easy assembly and disassembly without concern for gear orientation. An optional third stage provides an additional C ratio choice, enhancing customization. The gearbox employs a pneumatic shift method with a spring-extend pneumatic cylinder, allowing shifts to occur even during acceleration or deceleration. The weight of the gearbox, without motors, ranges from 2.9 to 3.5 pounds, depending on the stage configuration.
Note: Ensure proper greasing and break-in procedures are followed for optimal performance and longevity of the gearbox.
