The AndyMark Climber in a Box w/ Extrusion, Stage 2 is a versatile and robust climbing solution designed for FRC competitions. Inspired by successful team designs, this product has been rigorously tested for reliability and performance. It features a ‘spring out, winch back’ powertrain strategy utilizing off-the-shelf 3.5lb constant force springs and 3 mm Dyneema Rope. Compatible with many off-the-shelf planetary gearboxes, it supports a 2″ long 1/2″ hex output shaft. The kit includes durable 608 bearings and custom molded plastic components, ensuring a smooth telescoping mechanism without 3D printed parts. Each stage offers a maximum travel of 24.5″, and the unassembled kit requires no precision machining. It includes plates for match drilling and pre-cut aluminum tubes, available with or without extrusion, to enhance team performance at competitions.
