The AndyMark Climber in a Box w/ Extrusion, Stage 1 is an innovative and versatile climbing solution designed for FRC end game challenges. Developed in collaboration with FRC Team 3940 CyberTooth, it has been rigorously tested for reliability with numerous successful climbs. This unassembled kit features a ‘spring out, winch back’ powertrain strategy, utilizing 3.5lb constant force springs and 3 mm Dyneema Rope for efficient operation. It offers compatibility with various off-the-shelf planetary gearboxes, supporting a 2″ long 1/2″ hex output shaft. The climber includes durable 608 bearings and custom molded plastic components, ensuring a smooth telescoping tube mechanism without 3D printed parts. Each stage provides a maximum travel of 24.5″, and the kit requires no precision machining. Pre-cut 30″ aluminum tubes are included to facilitate easy assembly. The package comprises a Hook Kit, a Tubing Bearing Kit, and a Winch Kit, making it a comprehensive solution for elevating robot performance in competitions.
