This wheel is particularly optimized for use with an FTC Chassis, such as the MecanAM Chassis, and is provided as an unassembled kit. The wheel’s design is integral to a mecanum drive system, requiring a specific configuration to function correctly. The ‘left’ wheel is intended for the front left and rear right positions when viewed from above, forming an ‘X’ pattern with the ‘right’ wheels.
The wheel features a Nub Bore, making it ideal for FTC robots and compatible with Nubs for attachment to shafts and motors. It is constructed with a polycarbonate core and a black TPU rubber roller, which has a durometer rating of 60A. The rollers are mounted on a stationary brass tube, and the wheel’s structure includes 12 rubber rollers sandwiched between two steel plates, secured by bolts.
This product is suitable for light-duty applications, such as FTC robots or non-drive train FRC items like an intake. The wheel’s design ensures a smooth and efficient operation, making it a reliable choice for robotics applications.
